Vårdcentralen Åhus - the healthcare center with a big heart. We are an accredited health care unit that includes a medical clinic, district nurse clinic, elderly care clinic, diabetes clinic, asthma/COPD clinic, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, child health care, social worker, and dietitian. We offer advice and support to four special accommodations in Åhus as well as HSV.

We are building for the future to offer our patients the very best! Our ambition is to provide the best possible service and high-quality care to our approximately 8200 registered patients. The healthcare center is a medium-sized center with about 25 employees. We are now complementing our team with a geriatrician, are you the one we are looking for?

Do you want to help develop elderly care in primary care and work with long-term patient contacts? Do you want to contribute a holistic perspective on the aging citizen and follow them through the aging process, as well as contribute assessments of functional ability, cognition, physical and mental health? Work preventively for optimized health in aging but also preventively to avoid the need for acute interventions and hospital admissions? QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed physician with specialist training in geriatrics with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who can work both independently and in a team and also participate in the development work of the business. In the work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are attentive and have a good approach. You enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is natural to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work. Personal qualities are highly valued.
